Every Friday night Alberta Dancesport holds a drop in dance party from 8:15 p.m. to midnight. The dance begins with a mini dance lesson. A different dance is taught every week. The DJ plays a variety of music including Waltz, Salsa, Two-Step, Cha Cha, Foxtrot, Merengue, West Coast Swing, Tango, Double Shuffle, Rumba, Polka, Mambo, Quickstep, Samba, Viennese Waltz, Night Club slow, and the Hustle. Ranchman’s is a country scene. Two-step, West Coast Swing, Double Shuffle, and Cha Cha to a live country band Thursday thru Saturday. Ranchman’s offers weekday lessons for beginner West Coast Swing, beginner Cha Cha, beginner Two-Step, and Line Dance. Lessons are $10 per class and include a $10 gift card valid towards food & beverage purchases at Ranchman’s. Ballroom & Country Dance Studio
Every Friday night Ballroom & Country Dance Studio holds a drop in dance party. Two 45 minute mini lessons taught every week for beginner, intermediate and advanced dancers. The first mini lesson starts at 7p.m. on Friday and Sunday. The Friday night dance is 8:30p.m. to midnight and the Sunday night dance is 7:45 to 11:00p.m. The DJ plays a variety of music including Waltz, Salsa, Two-Step, Cha Cha, Foxtrot, West Coast Swing, Tango, Double Shuffle, Rumba, Samba, Viennese Waltz, and Night Club Slow. The Calgary Dance Stampede is a three day dance event. Over 45 instructional dance workshops are given throughout the weekend by professional dancers. Workshops are available for the absolute beginner up to and including the advanced dancer in many types of dance including Two-Step, Cha Cha, Nightclub, Triple Two, Waltz, East Coast Swing, Hustle, Salsa and West Coast Swing.
